REST & TAPER = FAST SWIMMING!!  Feel free to read some basic information in the article "What is taper and what is in it?" One other tip about diet is to watch the portions size of your servings.  With cutting back on yardage, we also cut back on calorie burning so the last thing you want to do is gain a few pounds and feel heavy in the water at your big meet.  So keep your portions to "normal" size (don't over do it!).  Of course you would also eliminate any junk food, soda, and empty calories.  Load up on healthy carbohydrates and water during this taper time.
